New EHR System Developed by Willetts Receives Federal Certification

P.AN.D.A., an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, was developed specifically for mental health practitioners.

Software developed by the Willetts Technology Software Development Team recently received federal certification. P.AN.D.A., which stands for Performance ANd Data Application, is an Electronic Medical Record designed specifically for Mental Health practitioners at outpatient clinics and residential treatment centers.

The certification means that P.AN.D.A. conforms to the standards and certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). This designation also means that the P.AN.D.A. System is included on the Certified Health IT Product List (CHPL). Certification was conducted by Drummond Group, an independent testing and certification company.

The voluntary certification program provides assurance that the system meets the technological capability, functionality, and security requirements adopted by HHS. Certification also ensures that P.AN.D.A. can meet the requirements of “Meaningful Use”, or the criteria that gauge how a healthcare technology product improves health delivery in a meaningful way.

Jason Willetts, President and Owner of Willetts Technology, shared, “We are very proud that the P.AN.D.A. System has received certification. The system is designed to improve the quality of care provided to patients while making providers more efficient and effective.” Daren Sipes, the lead developer on the project, said, “I am excited to see P.AN.D.A. in action. It’s a great example of cutting-edge software development and I am proud to be on the team that created it.”

Willetts Technology was commissioned by Sequel Youth and Family Services (Sequel) to develop P.AN.D.A.. Sequel, headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, is a privately owned company that develops and operates programs nationwide for people with behavioral, emotional or physical challenges. Sequel CEO John Stupak said, “The P.AN.D.A. system helps Sequel to take a huge step forward in treating our customers. It allows us to provide the best possible care to our patients while staying on the cutting edge of technology. The user-friendly interface has made the transition to this new system seamless.”
